A while back I got a cheap little remote controlled puppy for the sole purpose of tormenting Ramsey and Pablo. I harassed them for a bit and we all quickly became bored with it. I put it in my large bookcase next to the infamous plastic canine which starred in box office thriller Doberman Fights Robot Dog. Every once in a while I would catch Ramsey staring at it, and probably visualizing how many pieces she would shred it into if I ever allowed her.
The other day I came home from plowing snow. I’m always greeted at the door by Ramsey and eventually Pablo once he finds his way out of his elaborate nest of blankets. This particular morning, only Pablo welcomed me home. This usually means that Ramsey did something which will land her in trouble. I began to wonder. What did she do? Tear up a toy? Eat Pablo’s bone? I surveyed the area as I walked into the office where I found Ramsey clutching on to this battery-powered menace and looking at me like she just robbed a bank. I tried talking to her in that ‘disappointed’ voice to let her know I wasn’t happy that she managed to pull it off the third shelf, but I was laughing at the same time so I don’t think I sounded very convincing! Not to mention, I teased her and Pablo for hours with this toy so I could hardly get upset with her for wanting revenge. I tried pulling the puppy out of her clutches, but she had such a grip on it that I was actually picking her front half up off the ground! She wanted it sooooo badly. At this point, I was laughing out loud. Instead of playing tug-of-war, I grabbed the camera and this was the result. Note how her paws are wrapped around it!
Update: Ramsey has since pulled the remote and cord off because it was getting in her way. She carries it everywhere she goes. I think Pablo is getting jealous.

I just have to say that my daughter got the exact same robot dog for x-mas. We teased our Red Dobi (Zena) with it & it was the funniest thing! She kept wanting to take it from my daughter…. So we put it away in the toy box. Not long after, when the kids left their toybox open… Zena went and snagged the robot dog & stashed it near her bed. She now…guards this & loves on it like a real puppy! LOL How precious!

If I had such a snuggly bed as that, I’d be first in before Pablo! Ramsey is my kinda gal — one that knows what she wants and goes after it! Way to go, Pablo and Ramsey! Work it, work it. . .

I think Ramsey likes the toy more as a pseudo-puppy than as something to destroy. Also, have you ever considered showing Ramsey in dog shows? She could put the dobies at Westminster to shame. She is gorgeous!

Seriously, Chad, Ramsey could have won Westminster last night. The Doberman that was in the final group was beautiful, but I don’t think she was quite as beautiful as your Dobie.

Hi, I am writing from Spain. First at all, sorry for my English… it´s not so good.
I have saw Ramsey and Pablo in youtube and I love them. I had a Rottweiler very lovely and friendly but she had health problems and she died in january 25th, 2010. We are thinking to get another puppy to complete our lives. It was very sad… we feel alone…
Now, we want to choose a dog that both like and have thought about a Dobermann. The truth that on having seen the videoes of Ramsey and Pablo, and we have fallen in love and to be determined to adopt Dobermann’s puppy female… Ramsey is precious (beautiful), sweet, delicate, affectionate, is “guapisima”… We like her so much…
Thank you for all the work that you are doing to show the face more sweet and tender of the Dobermanns …
Congratulations!!!
