So I’m the lucky guy who lives with Ramsey and Pablo. Notice I didn’t say that they live with me? My name is Chad Dressen and I grew up in Chaska, Minnesota. I was born on March 27th – the same day as Ramsey. I’m a huge sports fan – particularly Minnesota teams. I’m single and I’ll probably remain that way because I’m ‘the crazy dog guy’.
I’ve had an overwhelming love for animals as long as I can remember. I jokingly refer to it as a curse because I often find myself going well out of my way to help birds, squirrels, fish and just about anything you can think of. I’m in the construction field where we do a lot dirt work and I get a lot of flack from my coworkers because I’m constantly stopping equipment to save frogs, toads, etc… One time I even stopped traffic on a four lane highway to save a snapping turtle. He didn’t seem very appreciative at the time because he tried to take my hand off, but I told him he’d thank me later.
And don’t even get me started about dogs.
I grew up with a Golden Retriever named Rusty (real creative, right?). He was truly the best dog any kid could ask for. He belonged to the whole family, but everyone kind of knew he was my dog. He slept with me, and spent most of his time with me. We took him in as a stray puppy and he proceeded to live roughly nineteen years. Eventually I was faced with the decision to put him to sleep due to serious arthritis in his hips and legs and issues with sight and hearing. It was, by far the most difficult decision I’ve ever had to make and still the worst day of my life. It affected me so much that I vowed to never have another pet because of the pain involved with losing them. But as most of us know, the happiness they bring while they’re alive, far outweighs the devastation when they pass.
Of course I would eventually wind up with a patient, but animated Doberman and an absolutely crazy Chihuahua. The rest is history…

Bout time they got a website, this is really cool. I love that you three have become so popular worldwide (i’m an aussie) just by showing your dogs being themselves. You are a very awsome person and I love that you love your dogs so much, I’m sure thats an understatement though if you’re anything like me! P.S. Can’t believe you’re single… Damn this Pacific Ocean!!!

Hi Chad,
. I love all dogs!!!
Thanks for bringing us the antics of Pablo and Ramsey. I’ve been watching them for quite some time on youtube. I can’t tell you how they brighten up my days. I have two of my own crazy sweet dogs. I have one chihuahua and one chihuahua/terrier mix who was a rescue dog. Wally is 13 now and will be 14 in June. Joe the full chi is 11 and will be 12 in June. I love my boys

Hey Chad – I have to praise you as a human.. period. I cannot begin to tell you how far and few between, men are like you, with animals, in general. I know, I’ve been looking for one like that for years!! What a kind an gentle man you are helping all those animals.
I am so glad to see you have your own website now.. or is that Ramsey & Pablo’s website? LOL Your dogs are absolutely beautiful and the love you have for them shows just in the pictures and comments you make about them.
I’ve had a dog, several cats and now I have 2 *crazy* min pins that I love to pieces. Dana and Karli were the ones sleeping in the tropical blanket with just their heads peeking out.
Thank you for your website and I’m looking forward to stopping in here often!! As for the *Crazy dog guy*.. well, to me… that is just normal! That’s how I live my life with my dogs.
Have a wonderful day and give the pups an extra treat today!

Hi Chad!
Would love to find a guy like you! I have often wondered if I will be forever single for the same reason. I have a 15 year old lab mix I got in college, a retired greyhound and my precious little chihuahua. Some call it a petting zoo. I spend lots of time at home because, well, I want to be with them. When I do things, it is often with my dogs…the nursing home, the dog park etc… That’s why I have them. The right person will share your infatuation with the four legged.

Congrats on the website!
Many thanks for bringing to this world the loving nature of the Dobermann. The stigma behind this breed has made them a feared animal but Ramsey has shown the world otherwise.
Talking about an animated Dobie… My dobie girl loves to talk too! Unfortunately my boy is unable to as the breeders had him de-barked.

Chad,
My husband and I have the same overwhelming love for (and need to rescue) animals.
Right now, my two dogs and two indoor cats are lying close to me.
We also feed a tribe of feral cats, who were starving to death when we discovered them.
You will meet that special someone, who loves animals as much as you.
However, make sure that Ramsey & Pablo give their hearty stamp of approval!

My sister calls me the Dog Stalker. I cannot pass a dog without giving hellos and rubbins. I did not have a pet growing up, but I always loved animals – especially the furry kind. If there is a boxer, I will chase the owner down one block (don’t want to me mistaken as a stalker) just to get a little boxer lovin’. There is nothing like it. Sorry Rams and Pablo.
I know God put dogs on this earth to teach us how we are supposed to love each other. God will always forgive us and take us just as we are, same with a dog, doesn’t matter what you look like, smell like, rich, poor, cute or not. You mean the world to your dog. Dogs posses never ending forgiveness – just as God will always forgive us, so we should forgive each other. Think of what the world would be like if we treated each other like our dogs treat us.
I’d have no problem with a guy who loves dogs as much as you. In fact, I may be the female version of you. I take care of a family of feral kitties outside my building (can’t have a dog in my apt.) get teased all the time. I don’t care. Fur friends bring so much JOY… How could you not?

Congratulations on the new (long over due) website. Anyways, I just wanna say that I am exactly like you. I love animals so much. I can’t even bear the fact to see them crying in pain and suffering from mistreatment. I think I probably love animals more than a lot my family (LOL!!). I have 2 minipins and they are my life. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t think about my dogs even when we’re all together. I don’t go out of the house more than an hour because I always feel like they’re lonely without me.
I can’t even imagine myself thinking that they have to go one way or the other.
I salute you Chad for being an animal lover. Keep up the good work and God Bless you always.

Chad, Love your babies, and glad to see you have your own website now!! Congrats!!
I too “lost” a favorite pet as a kid. I had a Chihuahua who was similar in color to Pablo. He didn’t pass away, but was given away to someone else while I was away out of state staying with other family! I was heartbroken and furious with him when I returned home to find my father had given Tippy away! I swore then I would never fall in love with another pet! Well, 9 Chihuahuas and one Rotty later, that has totally changed! I love my dogs and since my kids are grown they are now my “kids”. Loud and sometimes smelly, but my kids none the less!
Keep up the excellent work with your babies!! We all love them too!!

Hey Chad,
I stumbled across your videos and just fell in love w/your kids! I’m the mom to two Chihuahuas (Teenie and Poodie – names my niece gave her imaginary friends when she was little – perfect fit) and can so relate to Pablo. I grew up with a Chi and we had her for 16 1/2 years, she was just like a little sister! My aunt had 2 dobes and one of them (Red Pop) used to pick strawberries with us kids when we were young, of course she would eat them all herself and never put them in the bucket! I too am a sucker for animals – mostly dogs – and have some pretty crazy stories about what I have done to help rescue them! Any way, please keep the videos coming and take good care of those two wonderful gifts!

Don’t cause yourself the crazy dog guy!! There are many of us that love dogs and all animals. Believe me, there are many ladies out there that would love to find “a crazy dog guy” to spend their life with. I did years of animal rescue and have stopped myself to get a turtle out of the road. I have rescued injured birds and picked up abandoned puppies.
Keep up your videos and all the great pics and such on Pablo and Ramsey. Brings a smile to our faces!!

Like one of the other comments, I will be looking for a wedding announcement in the coming months. I am a fan of Ramsey and Pable on facebook and my kids and I love the two!! Our Dobies (2) and Lab and Weimer and Cat are all super Ramsey and Pablo fans.
COngrats on your new website and go play in the dirt with your kids and have a great day. Keep the post coming! (if you can and have time).

I was introduced to these pups on Dogs 101 and had to check them out on youtube. They are just adorable and have won over yet another fan. Sounds like you have won some fans too…haha! Yeah – you should have known that was coming with the announcement of being single. I joke that I’ve shared my bed with my dog longer than I shared my bed with any other man…including my ex-husband. As far as boyfriends go, my dog Duke was there before them..AND…he will be there after them! HaHa! The world needs as many of us crazy people it can get.

I first heard of Ramsey and Pablo through Dogs 101 last year, but just two days ago, I actually started watching the videos on You Tube. My youth neighbor had a Doberman named Krokus who was born in the exact day and YEAR I was born, and since years ago, the breed was still agressive, so was the dog. Any one that passed by would have to cross the street to get away from a mouthfull of teeth. Strangely, that dog let me into his life, and when we were both seven, he could practically climb over the fence and he would just jump all over me to try and lick me to death! I loved that dog like a brother, and was deeply saddened when he had to be put down because of cancer two years later. Even to this day, my love for Doberman’s continues. I haven’t had a dog, let alone a pet in my whole life except when my mom finally let me have an English Cocker Spaniel named Skippie (girl), we had to give her away since my mom got tired of her jumping, great reason to give away a child huh? Well, what I really wanted to ask you, is did you get Ramsey through a breeder or a shelter? Because whom ever you got it from, did a GREAT job!!!! I love her, she is a very beautiful dog and you should be very proud of having her in your life.

Chad, I doubt you’ll have any shortage of interested ladies now that we know you’re available. Even before I saw how cute you are on Dogs 101 I was curious about your status because of your interaction with Ramsey & Pablo from behind the camera of their Youtube videos. Your kindness and obvious affection for them made you pretty attractive in my book – sight unseen. But now I know you’re a double threat: looks and personality! =)

Is there really such thing as a “crazy dog guy”? What about a “dog freak”? That’s what ive been called! I believe you can’t be crazy or a freak over dogs or animals for that fact! They’re here for us to love! and if someone doesn’t…or someone mistreats them or abuses them then I believe they’re crazy!

I have a doberman and a chihuahua…kind of a crazy twosome at my house too. Our dobie is a three year old sweetheart and our chihuahua is a five year old monster. Occasionally, random people think that our chi is our dobe’s pup. That is always amusing.

just started watching your vids and i love them.. reminds me of my dobie i had for 10yrs.. i rescued her from the shelter when she was 1 yr.. she looked awful very skinny was losing her hair, and to beat it all her front 2 legs were bowed. she was so cute.. when i took her to the vet hw said in all my yrs i have never seen this.. well after looking sometime for a dobie to rescue i came across her, i took her in show her some love.. and wow what a awesome friend.. sweet, kind, great with kids.. one of my best friends.. 2 years ago she got really sick, and she couldnt walk.. it was like she lost all feelings in her back legs, was very sad to watch so I took to vet and he said the best thing was to put her down.. so after one good loving day with her she was gone.. was the sadest day of my 34 yrs i think.. point being, dobies/dogs are great friends.. cherish every sec you have.. thanks for the vids

Glad for the whole brood you’ve got goin on over there and happily-ever-after wishes to you all!!! -Nat

Chad,
You have done such an amazing job with Ramsey and Pablo and now Suvi. I’m very proud of you and Brandi for how you two have come so far with two breeds not exactly ” well perceived “. As a Doberman owner myself I to the day overcome so many objections when out for walks, but set the record straight when Justice gives that first big kiss to anyone willing to pet him. Thank you Chad, Brandi, Ramsey, Pablo and now Suvi for the examples you all set. Bravo !!!

Hey Chad,
It was a treat to watch Ramsey & Pablo…. You’ve so very beautifully nurtured them…. I always thought Doberman’s were the most dangerous dogs but now You’ve made me change my perception…
Must tell you Im in love with Ramsey…. She is sooooo gorgeous… The way she sits, her body language wow its just too wonderful…. & on top she is so disciplined….
Ramsey & Pablo got me to think of the pets i had…. one named Chiku (mix breed) and Simba (Labrador)….
Simba was just like Pablo & Chiku was like Ramsey…. so identical…
I miss both of them….
Thanks for bringing Ramsey & Pablo in our lives…. They both are wonderful… God bless them….
Keep up the great work…
Lots of Love & Hugs to Ramsey & Pablo….. Muwaaah!!

i am sorry that you did not like my comment; thank you for deleting it or not even accepting it. just to appease my ego & to be fair to myself, what i said-before it was even published or deleted: “chad, congratulations for being smart by thinking on PROBABLY being single for the rest of your life & just be happy living w/ ur pets/dogs. if i get to be single, i would end up being like that too.” to add to my comment & in fairness to MYSELF: humans (or the opposite sex) are inherently good unless they/we get to be molded by how we were raised, values, the good & bad in it. marrying someone that does not share your upbringing, culture, values, etc. is like having a dog/pet that does not match w/ your make-up/personality. just like dogs/pets-they get to be fierce when they were raised by a no good owner/master. hence, Ramsey & Suvi are mellow dogs because they observe/feel it from a mellow master/owner (you).

Thank you so much for your videos. I love watching the emotions and personalities your dogs have with each other, yourself and to themselves. Helps remind me so much of my dog Sonic, a JRT, who sadly passed at the end of last year at 17 and a half.
I have been considering a Doby for a long time, although I’d say its not my views on Dobermans that you have changed, more so my views on Chihuahuas that has changed from your videos. Can’t wait to start having some discussions with breeders in the future
Thanks heaps for your videos and hope there is more to come
Have a good one from down under

i LOVE your videos. I even have thought about getting another Doberman. It is great to see the interaction and so wonderful that as an advocate for Dobermans people get to see the good side of them. I had Dobermans growing up as a kid. We played hide and go seek. i hid and they always found me. Always. They were the sweetest dogs in the world. Never would hurt a fly. I lost my own doberman in 2008 unfortunately he developed a heart condition. I also at the time had a wolf dog. They grew up together. I am possibly getting another Doberman in a year or so. It is great to see how they are with smaller dogs as I never had mine with a smaller dog. I have smaller dogs now. Thank you for posting these videos. Also thanks for proving that there are men that can love animals and treat them wonderful. Your Suvi is also very beautiful. I hope they are with you for a long time.
