So this is where I take advantage of Ramsey, Pablo and Suvi’s internet following and shamelessly ask you to help me. Well, not me. A friend. Over the last couple weeks I’ve been following her blog which chronicles her heartbreaking struggle to save the life of her nine year old Doberman, Lexie. I won’t go into the details because I’ll undoubtedly get that lump in my throat that I hate so much. Instead I’ll let you read her blog, A New Life for Lexie, if you feel so inclined. If not, you can just trust me that Lexie and her owner Courtney could use our help. These last few days have been nothing short of tragic, yet Lexie’s owner Courtney has stayed extremely positive in circumstances that would’ve destroyed me.
I should add that Courtney has not asked me to do this. In fact, she has no idea and would probably tell me not to. I just know that she is spending a lot of time and money to save her best friend – something I can absolutely appreciate and respect. The medical bills are stacking up and no one plans for circumstances like these so please, please consider giving up a few spare dollars to help her pay for Lexie’s surgery if you can. I’ve set up a Chip-In account for the cause and will personally see that Lexie gets all the donations in the name of “Friends of Ramsey, Pablo and Suvi”. She will also be able to see each of your individual donations on our Chip-In account.
Wow, you are so kind to your friend, I am headed over to read her blog now, I chipped in and I am reposting the story on my FB page so hopefully more people see it and give from the heart. All the best for Lexie.

Just made a donation, but did it through Courtney’s page so it won’t show up on your chip in but wanted to let you know that people are listening and want to help. Thanks for sharing Lexi’s story.
I just wanted to say thank you. I know Lexie (and Courtney, of course) personally. Lexie, I would say, is probably one of my best friends. She has been my occasional running partner for the past two years. Lexie is probably one of the sweetest dogs I know. She’s so smart, and I just know if she can pull through this, she will amaze us as to what a blind dog can do. I know it kills Courtney to ask for help, but there is just a point when you run out of resources and must pool them from the kindness of friends (and strangers). Thank you so much. Lexie would say thank you too, if she could.
This is really a wonderful thing Chad. I’m a follower of your three celebridogs (as I am a Chi owner) and I can’t think of a better way to utilize the strong following they have. I can’t donate on your Chipin because my paypal is screwed up but I’m going to donate directly on Lexi’s blog with a credit card. Thanks!
I just went to Courtney’s blog and read about Lexie’s situation, I have to say: my eyes teared up so much I understand why you didn’t want to write about it here.
I made my donation through her blog, since she started accepting them. It wasn’t much, but it was all I could afford to donate right now.
Really hoping all goes well with her surgery. Thank you for letting us “Friends of Ramsey, Pablo and Suvi” know about this so we can help Lexie and Courtney.

Hi, I never do anything at all financial online, but would love to contribute. Can you message me a mailing address where I could send a donation? I promise to keep it confidential Love, love Ramsey, Pablo and Suvi, and kudos to you for letting their celebrity help your friend and her lovely dog!

Chad, I don’t know how you picked up on my daughter’s blog, but I can not thank you enough for taking up her plight – Lexie has been Courtney’s rock since losing her husband three years ago and now it’ s her turn to save Lexie -thank you from the bottom of my heart, blrss you….
I feel like I keep saying this over and over, but I have been blown away by the outpouring of moral and financial support I have received over the past few days, much of which has come from people who have never even met me. I cannot thank Chad enough for posting this blog and setting up a Chip In account for Lexie’s medical bills. I have been a fan of Ramsey and Pablo for many, many years (since they were merely little YouTube videos without fancy opening title screens or their own website…haha!), but I NEVER thought in a million years that one day they would help save my Lexie’s life. Lexie is going into surgery in a couple of hours, so thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated. I will keep everyone posted on my blog, but I just wanted to take a moment to personally thank you all for helping make her surgery possible. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!
I just wanted to thank everyone once more for all of your support and donations. I still cannot believe that Lexie’s bill at MedVet was paid IN FULL thanks of the kindness and generosity of others! Again, I cannot thank you enough, Chad, for posting this blog about Lexie, without which Miss Wanda (above) and so many other generous people may have never found us. I would like to invite everyone to please read the blog entry below, which explains how Lexie’s bill at MedVet was taken care of. It’s truly amazing, and I can honestly say that this experience has changed my life forever. Thank you all so, so much.

I hope Lexie gets better fast. I know what it feels like to lose a beloved pet and before their time. Let’s not let this happen to this precious baby.
