The following is a recent conversation I had with the cashier at a local pet store:
Cashier: “Wow that’s a big dog bed. What kind of dog is it for?”
Me: “It’s for a Chihuahua.”
Cashier: “Haha that’s funny. What kind of dog is it really for?”
Me: “No really. A Chihuahua.”
Cashier: “Um, why such a big bed for such a little dog?”
Me: “Well you see, I’m hoping that my Doberman will get to use this bed, but I doubt my Chihuahua will allow her to spend much time on it.”
Cashier: (completely confused) Oh.
Well, I wasn’t lying…

Have you ever seen the cartoon Binky and the Brain? Pablo is the Brain. Always thinking, tempting, plotting. Chihuahua’s crack me up. Always entertaining.

The cashier obviously doesn’t know Chihuahuas! If he did, he’d know you could get TWO beds and Ramsey still won’t have one! My girls would want you to pull it into a sun spot, though!

HAH! No joke. I love Pablo and how he’s so small, but has the mindset that he’s actually the bigger dog in the house. So cute.

Yeah, you’ll definitely need to put Ramsey’s-I mean Pablo’s bed in the sun. My Chihuahua mix can’t get enough of it! He lays on the bed all day and moves with the sunspot throughout the day!

Chihuahuas are big dogs… on the INSIDE.
That’s a lovely bed, but I can’t imagine why any dog would want to give up their comfy, cozy spot next to you!

he looks so concerned with asserting that the bed is HIS =) I had a Yorkie and a “Pet Bull” for a long time, and the little princess Yorkie was definitely the boss! For being all of 4 lbs, she pushed my 60+ lb. “pet bull” around like he was her minon or something =P

Lmao, my mom, and dad, and I used to have three male chihuahuas, and two female chihuahuas. We found one of the male chihuahuas whenever he came to our front yard one morning, and no one claimed him as their own. My family and I knew that he had a HUGE dog personality on the inside.
Whenever he’d walk in the back yard, or run and play with our other chihuahuas, Tito would run and walk like he was a Pit Bull. He even tried to sound like one whenever he barked. X’D

My Dobie (RIP) would have been happy to squeeze herself on to a tiny remaining corner of the pillow careful not to disturb the little one. I saw her do it when a kitty was sleeping smack dab in the middle of the Dobie’s bed.

Gotta love that Chihuahua spirit! My Lula always claims the center of the bed. My lhasa gets the edge and when my weimaraner was with us she got the bed on the floor!

I could not stop laughing at this!!! My cat used to do that to my old dogs (one was a Japanese Spitz and the other was a Boxer) but now we just have him and my Chihuahua. Chihuahua gets the bed, recliner, couch, and cat was pushed to the small dog bed lol.
